The seats in my M5 are in poor condition - but there's no room in the budget for new leather. I've used the SEM refinishing products on other cars before, with good results, so I figured I'd give it a try here too. The previous owner used Leatherique dye (in the wrong color - E36 dove gray), so I had to strip that off using scotch-brite pads. I also repaired some holes in the side bolster with some leather scraps, Loctite adhesive, and silicone/latex caulk as filler. Obviously less than an ideal repair, but it at least makes the seats look presentable until a proper reupholstery job can be done.
