i bought this 2 weeks ago and had no problem synching with the car. I got a bunch of codes, some in german it seemed like, and now it's in the shop. i cleared the codes and the ses light came back on the next day. it seems to work as advertised... the codes are hard to interpret though/

Almost a month later I see this....

Ryan, if you haven't already, only use the diagnostic connector under the hood-the port under the dash won't work on a MY2000. I had the same issue with mine, then plugged it in under the hood and it works perfectly.

Any idea if it can program the car to roll windows up on press&hold lock? Also, can mirror flip up and down be programmed for lock/unlock?

Sorry, this interface does not have these functions. A Gt1 diagnostic system would be able to do this but not carsoft.

I. Finally got to try this and have some troubles when I try to scan, the program give me a message "carsoft has encontered an error and will now close, and error has been stored". It does seem to sync with the car to do coding. Any thoughts?

ok, well, the coding apparently doesn't work either. Tried to code for 'auto door locks' carsoft went thru the motions, and says my car is coded for it, but when i drive away, the doors don't lock.

spoke a little too soon. Yes it scans, no it does not program autolock function, nor does it change the languages. It says i now have auto lock active, but they don't auto lock.

also says i'm in german language (just fooling around with it) but my obc display still is in plain old us english.

No problem, I'm glad that it is going well now! It seems that some cars support this auto-lock feature and some do not.
