Never seen this before.

Date: Mileage: Source: Comments:
10/07/2007 US Customs Vehicle exported from Germany and imported to Newark, NJ

10/13/2007 2 VOB BMW

Is this okay on the report? Other M5s I've run checks on do not state that.

Obviously it's fine by me they made it in Germany. :)

When I did my research, there were some car fax reports that reported the export from Germany and some didn't. As we all know, these cars are built and exported from Germany. If you want more accurate information, give the VIN number to a BMW dealer for the full details of the car. Good luck with your search and welcome to the board.

Thanks, I think I'll do that.

Just wanted to verify it wasn't some sort of grey-market car or one that was Americanized when someone moved or transferred from overseas. (though that would mean it already has Euro SMG programming :p)

When I left Germany, the M cars were the only us spec cars still built by the M division in Munich. If you ordered a regular BMW there, it was shipped from the states.

Could likely be a Euro delivery vehicle...they'll go through customs differently than a regular purchase.

When I was in Germany I bought 2010 M5 through bmw military sales program, and later exported to the States. My was tuned differently even though it was US specs. Loved it.
