Can the service indicator bars stay lit permanately?

Hi All,

I think some newer model BMWs (I was just in a Z4 today) have the ability to see the service indicator bars (green, yellow and red, etc) all the time. Does the E39 have the built-in functionality to show this permanately after the vehicle is started?

Thanks for any help!

I don't think the E39 has that capability. My 1988 M6 did, the lights stayed on,

I personally like the fact that they turn off after a few seconds after start up, no need to see them on all the time:wroom:
