I kid but seriously the post is not the best idea you've ever had. We're a small community of unhealthily obsessed Koenigsegg enthusiasts and harmless enough but others could be attracted by the build thread, see your public post and think it's ok to pester OP in pms. Can of worms ensues. :typing: :redflag: :sprint00: :confused::confused:

Generally I also think that as a rich dude with a fair amount of public social media presence, OP probably also gets more than his share of requests from people wanting to talk to him about all sorts of stuff. So irregardless of you guys having the same roots and speaking the same language and all, as a general rule of thumb I think it would be cool if we could respect OP's space and enjoy what he shares in regards to the car? Just my two cents and your mileage may vary. :)

I can see your point even though I have no idea what OP means. Still, your ''can of worms joke'' is insultling but ok, whatever... Then again, this is internet... I can't be responcible for anyones behavior except for my own. :grin
No hard feelings and please remove that s***... It's ugly as f.

^Sorry about that. Tried my best not to insult you (therefor the joke) and it's nothing personal, just tried to squash it before it became a problem. Maybe I could've been more tactful. :)

OP = original poster.

Don't mind me, I'm just sitting here biting my tongue all casual like. :ziplip: :roadblock:

But anyhow. Now that he's gone it's probably a good idea going forward if the mods are on top of the situation when or if another owner present him/herself to the board and immediately warns of an instaban if members tries to contact said owner. Not pointing any fingers because I'm sure he was swarmed with a horde of people trying to contact him and I'm just saying it would be nice if steps were taken to ensure that in the future this board is above that with all members working on the same page for it to be a safe haven for these highly sought after men a women to discuss cars, only cars and nothing but cars.

You make really valid points, although to be honest I didn't mind Petar reaching out to me at all! I would love to give my input on this all...

I have had quite a lot of negativity from IG in the last few months over my Veyron and since the pictures of my Veyron ADV1 wheels came out and I just decided to step away from it...

I use to think why are there not all these billionaires and huge car collectors on social media and forums but I have learned slowly over the last few years as my collection has gotten more and more "expensive" as to why not... Just way too much negativity and too many jealous and envious people that spoil it and ruin the experience.

I even had one Ksegg owner reach out asking what my plans and ideas were as they have a lot of ideas they could share, so I send them what I was thinking of doing and asked what their ideas were as I would love to hear them out and they didn't even reply... Guessing just being nosey as to what I was up to...

So I won't be going back to social media anymore... I have a lot of cars coming this summer such as (2) 675LT Spiders and (2) SV Roadsters and a few special cars I am looking out for and as much as I would love to share that with the public, it attracts too much negativity...

I got 50 pictures ready for this thread from my factory visit and realized when I saw there were over 2,000 views on this thread with only 5 people talking and socializing... So to me, why am I going to put up all these private photos to show all these stalkers with unknown intentions... Just doesn't make sense to me... Didn't realize it would be like this from the start.

I am more than happy to send all these cool photos to the posters in this thread via link with password as I would love to have other enthusiasts enjoy the content. Just send a PM!

I will be more than happy to discuss everything in this thread like intended though! Me and Lisa are going back and forth via email building the car, render by render. She sent me one that needs a lot of changing but it shows all the options and in AMAZING detail and graphics! I couldn't be anymore excited!

If anyone has any questions regarding anything car related, don't by shy to ask!

Cheers guys

*sorry about spelling as I haven't slept due to work load*

I would love to have some pictures!

This forum is very low traffic for hardcore-fans. The 2000 views are for 27 posts, that's about 75 views for every new post. I'm looking into this thread every time there is a new post and the counter goes +1, not instantaneously but at the next views update. I know because I used proxies to fake traffic for some time in the beginning when the forum was restarted (it's very common for forums/IG/Facebook to fake traffic/followers, you can even buy/hire loads of followers/likes to look popular and get more real followers and better marketing deals). The people here are likely the members (and a few other "fans" who have not yet registered), random passersby (from search engines), some KAAB employees (for killing time and curiosity), dealers and others (a few stalkers) who want to "research" or have deeper knowledge.

Of course that could change over time (and having an owner posting here could be part of it). There is usually a traffic peak around the month of the Geneva Motor Show when simultaneously viewers are sometimes 50-100 instead of normally ~10, probably because this is usually where information is harvested and served first. In the bottom of the thread you can read "Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 8" and posters will be nice/polite to you (even if you have a Bugatti ;^).

#110 had a build thread at the much larger forum Teamspeed two years ago:
Our One:1 build to delivery - Teamspeed.com
It had a whopping 97500 views and 171 posts over two years (5-600 views/post), and I don't think they had a negative experience from that thread, but all fans appreciated the fact that BHP-project was sharing the build-process.

Edit: I think you need to login to view attached pictures (linked pictures can be seen by anyone/"guests") In that way it would be for forum "members only".

Well you are not the first or the last who's dipped his toe in social media and decided against it, LA. Even the BHP guys that JC mentioned as a good example received a ludicrous amount of negative feedback on youtube for every petty little detail you could imagine, anything from "the camera is shaking too much" to "I hate the music". And these are all around nice guys that actually took their car to 240 mph on a bumpy, slippery runway and filmed it for our viewing pleasure. I mean... what more can you do? Jump a few buses? Drive through a loop? Chase down a TIE fighter through an asteroid belt? I don't know what would make anyone share anything on the internet to be honest because it's like spoon feeding caviar to a bunch of obstinate cats. :haha:

Like JC said were a small group of guys but the upside is there's a fair amount of privacy and we're really enthusiastic about the brand. Mine and Petar's brief exchange in this thread is probably in the top 10 of the "fights" we've had during all my years here so there's very little if any bs. Matt started the koenigsegg registry way back when. JC himself aka Sherlock Hemis knows everything and a little bit more about every single car it seems. Bumblebi is an admin on the Koenigsegg4Life Facebook group. Some guys have ties to the factory or people close to it. Some are spotters or lifestyle photographers. Others work in the industry. And others are just hardcore Koenigsegg nerds.

I would say about a little more than a handful of people are actively keeping the board vibrant, coupled with two, three dozen or so sporadic posters like myself who a serious lurkers and pops in from time to time to thank the brilliant detectives. That's the type of crowd you're getting here, the freaks and the geeks. If you want genuinely interested feedback on the build this is the place to be. We're not panty throwers but we will fan our faces to a fresh Koenigsegg pic. And yours look amazing btw.

We're all a bit coy at the moment but I suppose that's because in this setting you kicked open the door to Dungeons and Dragons game and asked the nerds if they want to pet a live dragon. One nerd says something about taking a photo. Another nerd kicks him under the table (cough cough). The rest have gone mute so to not mess it up. There's always a feeling out process when a new member enters a forum but more so in this case than others I'd say. I wouldn't read too much into it if I were you, it's not you it's the dragon. ;)

I would also love some pics!

I don't think you guys understand what I was trying to say at the end of it.

Take BHP for instance. His/Their social media and my social media are two completely different things. If I was to do social media again down the lines some years later, it would be the way they did it...

They don't have a lot of pictures of themselves. They don't have pics of their homes. While vacationing and so on. Its a lot less private which is the way to go, from what I just realized... They can only have comments about the camera being shaky or the color(s) being the wrong choice... They don't have to face negativity thats personal and have thousands of people knowing where they live and so on... Thats what I am trying to say.

So in this instance for this thread, I will just take out all the pics of me and my friends at the factory along with the staff and post the parts that were seen and cars that were looked at. Keep everything private out. When I mentioned the amount of views it was for the fact that to me it doesn't make sense to post pictures of myself to strangers passing this thread by like I did before. Or other private things like PJs and yachts and houses and things like that. When sharing with the car world its best to keep everything private besides the car stuff.

I will have the pictures uploaded and posted here later tonight. Cheers

Petar143 is an admin in the Koenigseggs4Life FB group too. :)
And I don't think we actually ''fought'', it was more like me not understanding your point at first and I apologised in the PM.

J_C, Davvemannen, Prash, Matt, Joey, etc. knows who I am in terms of dedication and love for the brand since the very beginning.

I never intended to start something that would disrespect your good will, Djordje. Since we speak the same language and I see myself like someone who knows a lot (without fake modesty), I thought it would be interesting to speak in Serbian about Eggs and supercars in general with someone who also knows A LOT and has a lot of great cars, since that's a rare privilege for me...

Anyway, have a good time and enjoy in your life, all of you. :) Hatters gonna hate anyway.

Like I mentioned buddy, you didn't. I tried responding but it wouldn't let me. I have also been very busy and doing a lot of traveling. I check in here every chance I get.
