Thinking about consolidating a couple of vehicles (well, possibly 3) to fund a new project, one of which will the the M5 I've run for the past two years.

So, the question is - should I sell or break her ? (For pics see 'View My Car')

Full History, service book, receipts etc, (inc all previous 11 MOT Certificates)
Wait for it... 241,000 Miles
All original, and all working (yes, even the aircon), no smoke, no drama - been used be me daily for the last 2 years, and still cruses happily at 150MPH (Venlo to Stuttgart in 2 hours.... :hihi: )

Tax until Jan 06, and will come with 12 Months MOT (not actually due until the end of July, but I'd put a new ticket on her.)

All this for £3,000 GBP.

Question is, is she worth it in one piece, because I know she's worth at least that in bits ?

Shame really, but after 2 years (seriously long term relationship for me...) I'm getting itchy feet (that 400BHP thread has got me thinking......)

Phil, if you break the car you'll never get rid of everything, you should leave that as a last resort, not to mention the hassle of doing it. The car looks ok, good spec etc, so you should be able the get it off the driveway in one piece, get it on ebay and see what happen's.
All the best,

The car looks pretty good to me.
A really nice item.
With all that history regardless of mileage, its worth the money in one piece.
I would bet that you will get the cash you are looking for.
Breaking such a nice car would be a travesty & all the hassle of dismantling would not be good.
I think others on the board who have broken cars that have had a whack have had their patience run thin with selling the bits.

Sell it or keep it if you can.

Good luck

I Agree with the others I think the car should be sold intact and I am sure someone will pay the asking price.

I think Durt still has a few bits from his car despite answering all those questions.

Good luck
