Hello guys,

I finished sorting my M5 but now that it is sorted it makes this problem even more obvious: since I purchased the car I noticed the brake pedal is very hard to press, and the stroke is very short. For example I can't heel and toe because the pedal won't go down enough so I can press the accel pedal. And overall the brake power itself is there but I need to push really hard on the pedal.
On day to day city traffic it does not really bother me but when I am pushing the car or in case of emergency braking it is really unpleasant.

I already changed the rotors, the pads, the brake lines and purged the system twice so i has to be something else.

Any idea here? :)

Symptoms remind me of a failing brake booster. It's as if you're braking with the engine off, is what my mind's eye sees.

Why not replace it with an aluminum line? The T where it splits off into 2 is a common failure point. It’s plastic and develops a crack overtime.
