Interesting, especially for me since I had a 2002 745i (first gen iDrive) with WinCE O/S and a 2005 645Ci which had the second generation with the Wind River O/S and now a 2010 M6 with the Becker system.

Oddly they did not mention that the latest system (CIC) was also installed in the E63/64 starting in March 2009 (model year 2010). I'm not sure if the E-60 had it starting in March 2009 or not but I assume it did.
