Was this car ever sold? Is Imola Red a popular color?
The original posting was 2012...And the last time that guy logged in was 2013. I'd say it's safe to assume you won't get a response and that it's been sold. But, I've been wrong before. Once.

Wow, funny seeing this thread brought back from the dead (literally and figuratively...). I bought this car from the OP in Jan '13 - it was my second E39 M5. It met it's demise one year ago today (just now realized today is the "anniversary" of the accident) when a distracted 16 year old ran a red light in front of me and totaled my all time favorite car (and broke my foot in the process).

Kind of ironic that after the literally dozens (like close to a hundred!) of HPDE, Advanced Car Control Clinics and Tire Rack Street Survival Schools I've run and/or instructed at over the last 11 years, that this is how I lost a car I planned to keep a long time... Oh well, back to work. Thanks for bumping this up, otherwise I wouldn't have noticed it!

Pretty amazing how small the world really is. This is a great community here with lots of interconnections and communication.

So sorry to hear about your foot and the loss of the four-wheeled love of your life. Glad to hear that you are still here to tell the tale though!
