My M3 (E30) is now 25 years old. Here in Victoria I can fully register the car or use Classic car, limited use registration.
This is my 'cotton wool' keeper, so I only drive it on weekends and perfect weather.
Unfortunately for you your car is too 'young' to register here.

haha glad you joined the forum. I saw that car and then it got taken off not long after. It looked like a good example and a good price too. How do you find it so far? Good buy or goodbye?

i had the car mechanically checked out. perfect. the previous owner was very fastidious with the maintenance. in the last 20k he spent $8k on general upkeep. its my first bmw. i love it! i have had window tint done, cut n polish, oem angel eye update, oem celis tail lights, carbon diffuser, wheels painted black with a slight shadow chrome, waitin on eisenmann race exhaust... should be here in a couple weeks. waitin on some other misc parts... badges etc.. in my opinion an excellent buy!! i have looking for almost a year, saw it on carsales and acted fast, even then it was almost too late. u have a m5 as well?

hahaha

That's a lot of stuff done in a short period of time and a decent load of money too. You'll like the Eisenmanns, but I couldn't justify the price. JRobbo in Melb has them though but he's loaded ;)

Where did you buy the headlights and tail lights and how much were they if you don't mind me asking. That's on my list of things to buy.

i bought them from schmeidmanns uk head lights n tail light were about $1100ish plus cutoms tax and import.. installed front and back in about an hour and a half. no prior experience. easy. had to splice 2 wires on drivers side headlights. passenger side was just plug it together. tail light required some holes drilled and a lil hammering on the metal work but overall very easy. really updates the look of the car. i spent a lot of time researching where to buy from. usa uses lhd units, aussie prices are crazy... this worked for me. plus i want only oem products on the car.

Thanks heaps for the reply. $1100 for front and back OEM is a good price. I'm assuming ballasts came with the tail lights too? Good to see the install was easy. I think simple installs get complicated in some threads. You obviously have a mechanic background or are good with this kind of stuff? It'd be good to share some technical knowledge.

yeah the back lights came with everything needed. ballasts..etc. just plugged in. never installed lights on a car before. mechanically im average/poor. but i thought i would give it a shot. it was easy. common sense stuff. back lights drill 2 holes where the posts wont go in. mallet hammer so the light sits flush. if u do get them message me. ill walk ya through it.

It's kind of the same all across Australia really. With only 250 odd cars sold in our country there's not much chance you'll see another M5 very often.

It does feel a bit lonely at times haha. But hey it's an M5.
