Hi all

My BMW extended warranty is due for renewal in November. I am intending to renew it at a cost of £620 but I am getting close to a quoted "70k miles / 7 years" possible get out clause for the warranty due to fair wear and tear. My car is almost 6 years old with approx 65k miles and working on the theory that the older the car then the more likely a problem it seems crazy to pay for a warranty that can avoid paying out.
I appreciate this cost includes breakdown assistance, mot assurance and I guess all electrical components are probably covered regardless of age. What I don't like is having to get a main dealer to remove and inspect any faulty items just to find it might not be covered and I am then forced to pay their rates for the repair.
Any comments / encouragement will be appreciated.

The limit is no longer valid. As long as your car is serviced by an approved BMW dealer your warranty will be valid. I'd go for it as it is now that you'll need it most.
