Hi guys

Hoping for a bit of help from you all as with 9 years on the board no better place on the net for info. Mods I hope this can stay on as is e34 related:1zhelp:

Here goes I now have a 740i as well as the e34 and want to upgrade the brakes but have no intention of paying way over the top. Question is will the e34 M5 floating disc set up go straight on? Or is the e39 m5 set up the safer bet? I think the e34 set up will perform better. Just don't know if the carriers work on the e38?

Any help appreciated

If you want a cheap BBK, then I believe K-Sport do an upgrade kit for most cars, and they start at about £800 for 330mm discs & 8-pot callipers (£900 for 356mm discs).

I've never tried them, so can't recommend them, but they seem cheap enough and will definitely be an upgrade to standard BMW parts - and they'll be brand new.
