Having switched from a 550i six speed to the M5 with the SMG, I so relate to this article. Very accurate. In the end, the M5 almost felt like it was built by a different car company compared to the 550. I am so happy I kicked it up a notch, but would recommend the 550 to anyone looking for a great sports sedan in that price range.

I had a z4m that I traded for the M5...and honestly, I couldnt be happier in the LEAST bit. I liked the z4m, but I find that you just cant beat the comfort of the m5 for the performance it gives (even in the back roads). Yes, you have to be far, FAR more attentive during back-roads runs as there is ALOT of weight to manage...but isnt that more fun? It is to me anyway.
