Hello all, I am just getting into the forum game because I really want to know everything about my car. I did a few searches and couldn't find a thread on this exact topic. So the question is pretty simple. What modifications would you all recommend to solely boost the horsepower of the beast? I know it sounds a little silly to boost the power on such a massive engine, but I guess I'm just that kind of guy.

Search is your best friend. Although it can get very expensive to boost hp on the normally aspirated S62 , we're talking about 10 grand for a 50-75hp gain . Popular mods are headers, CAI , and tune ( Evolve ). Then u get into the internals of the engine ; forged crank and rods, camshaft and headwork. But that's where the costs skyrocket. Or you can go supercharge; for 6-10 grand it will add 100-150 rwhp.
This is a big can of worms to open and discuss on one thread. You have to decide on what you are willing to spend.
To increase hp and stay naturally aspirated can be expensive for what some consider moderate hp gains.
Supercharging will be the best bang for the buck, but make sure your engine and drivetrain are healthy first.
Cheers

If it's otherwise well maintained, then exhaust headers gives the biggest improvement. Tune from Evolve with or without the headers will also give a little gain, but also make the car more drivable. Mufflers or air filters wont do "nothin'".

Hi,

You'll need to hone your jedi search skills! thats the first thing you need to do!

Almost every possible and potential route for gaining HP on the S62 has been covered multiple thousands of times on this forum. Re-maps, power pulleys, induction kits, uprated injectors and camshafts, performance exhausts, headers, cross pipes, turbo charging, supercharging, changing engines American LS engines, changing to Japanese high performance engines have all been extensively discussed and covered here.

Depending on the depth of your wallet and bank account, you can look to see what you'd like to achieve and then spend the money at reputable and knowledgeable specialists to get the work done.

Cheers, Dennis!
