I was searching for part numbers to no avail, and I though maybe we should just start a thread for stuff like plugs and caps and rotors and stuff.

Pelican has 2 sources of cap&rotor for the M5, a bosch and a bremi.

Cap: Bosch 12-11-1-725-070-M14; Bremi 12-11-1-725-070-M18.

Rotor: Bosch 12-11-1-734-110-M14; Bremi 12-11-1-734-110-M18. Anybody know which is better?

Spark Plug: Bosch 12-12-9-061-867-M14, anyone know a different/better part?

I'll add other items to this list as you guys give me part numbers.

I have used both, and never had a problem with either.

Awesome, thanks guys!!

Oil: I've read that 20-50 is the best weight, any others?

Differential: 75-90 with an LSD additive?

Gearbox: ??

I use Mobil 1 15w50

Redline MT90 for the gearbox

Mobil 1 90w140 with LSD additive for the diff (may change to redline)

If I can offer one bit of advice ONLY use Bosch plugs

I used another "reputable" make to my detriment in 2002 when one disintegrated resulting in a very expensive rebuild. I believe it couldn't cope with the heat!!

Great! Another oil thread! LOL

I use Motul 15/50 ... changing it every 3000 miles is probably more important than the brand name.

The "reputable" shop the worked on my M5 before I bought it, put Autolite plugs in it..... Explains why the car only wanted to drive in a big circle:grinyes:

haha no I do not want to start another oil thread I was just wanting a couple opinions on non synthetic gearbox and diff fluid. I know it has been debated before whether or not synthetic starts oil leaks, I would just prefer to use non synthetic and change it often for the gearbox and diff.
