Just bought and installed a Meisterschaft GT2 exhaust from GTHaus. GTHaus was very easy to deal with, shipped right away, and they make a great product.

As for the exhaust...it's even better than I had hoped it would be. Great sound, easy install, looks close to stock...perfect.

I race cars professionally, and the exhaust note is always an ideal for my cars...this one works perfectly.

I smell something fishy... why would you have to state that you are a pro driver when your name already says it? And why would you have to state that exhausts are important as a pro driver? As a pro driver wouldn't tires be more important? or suspension rather than a system that just adds sound and is reaallly sketchy in hp for m5? so what is the advantage of that when you are racing?

Sounds like you're reading too much into this...

I was simply stating that I've heard many types of exhausts, and this one sounds great. What if I just liked the name "prodriver"?

And what would this be fishy about??? What would I benefit from posting this??? I was simply sharing what I thought of the exhaust...

Guess this is why I don't really post on boards anymore...

I got the eisenmann race and love it.
I was afraid to purchase from GTHaus with all the bad press. I wanted to only put high quality on my M6. I couldn't afford the kreissieg. It was my first choice.

After all that has gone on I would guess that they would bend over
backward to make sure future customers are satisfied. It doesn't
surprise me that folks are happy these days. Hopefully they keep
it up.

The stigma is relentless... Perhaps, well deserved after the whole counterfeit debacle. Nonetheless, there are individuals like Prodriver who appear to genuinely appreciate the product and had good experience with the company. I was actually looking into purchasing the TI or GT, but ended up going with ASR. Though I agree that the exhaust systems sound good and loud, I couldn't help noticing the raspyness which turned me away.

For example:

Not exactly the kind of sound that I was looking for. However, welcome and congratulations on the new exhaust. Please post some pics and videos!

Sorry, It's just that I thought you were associated with GTHaus and came on here under a different Screen Name to try to seem like a satisfied customer, hence why you had so little posts... But I am now re-questioning my thoughts of that... As a new member pics are the prerequisite of a warm welcome!

Prodriver, welcome to the extended M5 family. Like all families, some topics have a little history that go with them.

Glad you like the exhaust and are happy with the service you received. Exhaust sound is a funny thing. Like Mperor and m6ontheway, I favor the ASR sound, but it is nice to see a satisfied customer post and share.

Hey prodriver welcome aboard. I to raced profrssionally. I did IMSA racing for 9 years, running GTU class 911 Porsches and later 911 Porsches in GT3 3.8L RSR's.
I also ran in SCCA for 12 years SP (super-production) class , running a regional class. I am an older fart so we may not have crossed path.
In IMSA we had an Olive Garden sponsership, obviously not through all the 9 years.

Anyway you definitely did not checkout or listen to all the erxhaust systems out there for the M5.
There are 2 other systems available which are outstanding. The ASR Engineering and the RPI exhaust sytems.

I have and totally recommend the ASR exhaust system. It is the best!!! It truly makes rwhp and sounds fantastic.
Both system are better than the Eisenmann whatever system you have considered.
For me regarding exhaust systems for the M5/M6 it would ASR first and RPI second. All other systems fall sadly behind.
The other companies live on a brand name but I feel they have done nothing to back up the quality of their product.

Good luck to you and your exhaust but it is my opinion that going with Eisenmann you did not make the best choice.

Sorry my friend.

Personally I love ASR Gen II exhaust...proven gains, intoxicating sound, quality, and excellent customer service.
+1. If you can deal with slightly more volume, ASR is my favorite by a mile.

Ranger,

I wish you would have mentioned your experience and opinion when I put a thread up on asking about Eisenmann exhaust. I was trying to see which exhaust was favored and if members preferred sport over race.

I just checked this site and it looks like RPI doesn't carry an exhaust for M6.

ASR site is under construction for the M6.

Hello 6PACK,

My suggestion is to call ASR or RPI directly. Their websites are a bit behind on things. ASR does have a Gen II exhaust for the M6, and from my perspective it's top notch.

Here's a link to some pics of my installation:

Ranger,

Thanks for the info...like someone else posted, exhaust noise is a very personal thing...I love the sound of the Meisenschaft, and it is exactly what I was looking for. I have no previous experience with GTHaus, but this purchase was easy, and the product is great quality.

As far as my racing, you can read about what I've done here: www.rileyracing.com. I drove 2 years with Derek Bell as my teammate for the Volvo Factory Team in the SPEED World Challenge GT Series, as well as testing for the Panoz Factory Team in ALMS. I've driven in the Grand-Am Rolex GT series as well in a Mazda RX-8. So no, I am not someone from GTHaus. I've seen a lot of stuff out there, bad quality, bad people to deal with, etc. and my experience with GTHaus has been nothing but professional, and the exhaust is great quality.
