Title says it all, I researched the archives at the Shift Sector, Wannagofast and Texas Mile but there isn't as much info on the mods as as I wanted- I saw a couple threads a while back with some trap speeds and can't find them. I wanted to see the speeds SC cars, the NA cars and NA strokers that have run in the past. I really like the 1/2 mike and 1 mile events- wanted to see how our cars stacked up to the other cars. The F10s were faster than I though...

My stroker posted 146 in the half mile event at the wannagofast event in Heaven's Landing, GA earlier this year. Density altitude that day was about a mile high, so like driving in Denver. Car felt really weak with the thinner air. I plan to run again in Ocala in January and should have a much better result.

I was trapping 146+, with a strong headwind at the last Shift S3ctor. 6MT and Blanton (Performance Gearing) 3.91 w/3 clutch 30/50 ramps.

I have headers, but no tune for intake or headers -- just basic Dinan Stage I. 91 pump gas. Details of my mods are in my signature.

randywei's (Randy) thread from Shift S3ctor. You can see the headwind from the flags at the finish line.

Having gone to Shift S3ctor three times now, I think my fastest trap speed was 152mph from a dig in the 1/2 mile. That was before I had installed catless headers. The other two times my car had more mods, but the conditions weren't as great (either really hot or strong headwind) so my trap speeds weren't as fast. This most recent Shift S3ctor in October my fastest trap speed was 148mph from a dig.

Thanks! 170 is about 10 MPH faster than any car I have on this spreadsheet with the data available from every event result archive I have found on the interweb. Just so I am clear was this 1/2 mile like "4 light poles down by the High School", or computed from some sort of onboard device or an actual event with a speed trap at the end of a 2640 ft. distance?

Btw that 170 mph 1/2 mile speed equates a 200+ mph standing mile. You should come to Texas in March, be in the history books, yo.

In June of 2013 I ran a best of 150.7 without stacks and with full exhaust at the Chicago 1/2 Mile Shoot-out. Best 1/4 mile trap was 123.

Fastest NA E60 I've seen was 152mph.. Wonder what a stock C6 Z06 is?
