Wake up and smell the coffee guys. You can still save approximately £8000 if you import direct from Germany. BMW UK are still ripping us Brits off.

Granted, until yesterday you could have saved around £16,000 but 8 grand is 8 grand so I'm still happy with my import order.

I'm not sure that any Brits who have bought an M5 from a UK dealer in the last few months are going to be though!!

I'd think it's unlikely - the UK car market has been an oddity, with robber-baron-high pricing.

What's happening is, I think, just part of a broader exercise in getting UK auto prices closer to those outside the UK.

I agree with JEM - if you take their new price (haven't compared all standard features with the new UK press release - but assuming they are now getting the same standard features like All Leather @ no charge) at a $1.50 per British Pound exchange rate you get an equivalent US MSRP of $78,000. That's about what we pay after gas-guzzler, U.S. Luxury and state sales taxes and destination charge.

So, yes they have been paying a lot more for the same car until now.
