Bad mirror

One outboard infinite auto dim mirror turned dark blue with a streak of a light area. Had a new mirror glass on order then mmirror glass began to leak out some fluid which did a number on the paint on the mirror housing and affected the clearcoat on the door. Watch your mirrors for any changes, If this occurs, tape the mirror and seal together or remove the glass to avoid paint damage while waiting for replacement. Why me?
