hello everyone, i suppose i'm the lastest / new person to join the site. :1: test drove a b3 3.3 yesterday, in which i now realise it was the alpina advetised on the alpina register, 02 reg, alpina blue, 45k miles, grey leather etc, i must say the car was superb although it did start to rain, in the the car couldn't be pushed to the limit.

Also the day before i was looking at the jade geen alpina E36 3.2 that is advetised on autotrader at portway, good looking car although the green leather interior doesn't tickle me at all. :wroom:

hopefully within the next couple of months i'll be looking to purchase a b3 3.3 or b3s convertible just before the summer sets in.

If there's anyone out there can you please, tell me what these cars are all about and what i'm to expect.

My previous car was a C5 corvette, and trust me for outright straight line acceleration, nothing could touch this...

I hear that the engine in the b3s is an american spec E36 M3 engine, is this true. If so how come it doesn't sound so tappety as the M3 engines i hear all day long, does it suffer the similair VANOS problems that i hear / read about. Also what is the difference between both American spec / european spec engine.

does the B3 3.3 have the same engine...
