I'm anxiously awaiting delivery of my first Individual M5. :1:It was a long road to get these vehicles and I just ordered them in time (last day). There were some items I could not get such as contrast stitching due to end of production, however I'm happy with what I've got!

Exterior: Frozen Grey Metallic (Matte Finish) :M5thumbs:
Interior: Full Merino Platinum
Headliner: Platinum Alcantara
Trim: Piano Black

My brother ordered one as well:

Exterior: Brilliant White Metallic
Interior: Full Merino Bi-Color (black & silverstone)
Headliner: Anthracite Alcantara
Trim: Piano Black

I remember mentioning that I ordered two m5's in a previous thread. I didn't order two for myself, one is going to my brother.
These cars will defiantly be sick. Brilliant white is a great color too. Frozen gray is the 'new' color or should I said 'matte' is the new 'color'.
Very nice! You must post pics right away when you pick it up!
For sure. I live in FL but i'm having my car delivered to the BMW warehouse in NJ (because I trust them and know the warehouse manager). From there the car will be picked up from an enclosed car carrier AT the warehouse, NOT the dealer.

I'll then receive the car in FL with ZERO miles on the ODO and no gasoline in the tank. That's the only way I take delivery of all my bmw's.. both of the m5's and the alpina b7.

interesting. I hate everything about that M6. Mahogany or any wood inside the car is the biggest NO possible. Hate it. In fact its not just me, speak to any dealer in the UK and they will tell you cars that have any wood on the interior are hard to shift and ones without, move very quickly.

M3 color looks superb, in fact that car looks fantastic, but that M6 is :shakemitkopf:

I would sell a kidney to have a frozen gray anything. I'm gonna paint my whole house frozen gray. I'm really impressed that they released it as a color (even though its individual). It shows that the M division still might have a clue as to what the current trends are and they upped the ante doing a matte grey instead of the black that everyone else is doing. I cant wait to see it congrats.

avlnch and FlyFive. I notice you both live in FL.

May it is possible for avlnch to assist FlyFive in ordering an individual (that is, take him to your dealership and get him hooked up).

My dealer is in NJ. There are many other factors aside from the dealership.

Unfortunately Individual production has ended. I couldn't get certain items (ex. stitching) because of limited supplies.

How much for HRE P41 Monoblock?

I'm in my second year of college right now. I figure 3 or 4 years from now when I'm out, 2010 and 2009 M5's will be perfectly aged for CPO, and I'll see if I can get a good deal on one.

Time to start saving up my internship money so I can have a solid down payment. If a 5 is too far out of reach, I may settle on an E92 M3 though. Either way, I want to get my hands on one of these and keep it for a long time.

avlnch, I hope you don't go with that color HRE. It will get lost on the car since it is too close to the paint color. You should make it contrast. I think black wheels would be absolutely fantastic.

Thinking about that color and machining the face down

or

black p41 with a brushed face

not sure about all black.. i think it'll be too much black.

Black with machined face will look great! Good choice. I was a bit worried for a second when I saw the gray picture but I think you made an excellent choice.

Great mod list as well.

You have a PM about the Dinan exhaust.

Wow, that is an excellent specification for an individual car!! I think I would have ordered pretty much the same combos!

The list of mods looks equally well thought through, cant wait to see this come to life! You have to open a thread on your car as it arrives so we can see it evolve :D

Days hours and minutes must be a must feel like years waiting for that!

It was built in 4 days! Now it's in ther paintshop and will be done tomorrow the 26th.
I think from there it will be shipped out and take 2 weeks unless there is more work to be done
by individual (doubt it?)

so far so good !

Hopefully they come before Christmas. Seems like my car is taking a little longer than the other.

Frozen Gray : Vehicle production is complete; Waiting to be released to the carrier

soon enough the actual car will be on the front page :M5thumbs:

Would it be appropriate to give us an idea of how much in addition to the MSRP of the vehicle with options, one needs to spend to acquire an Individual vehicle? I realize the upcharge will depend on options and just how "individual" the car becomes. But is there an good average someone could share?

#45 · (Edited)
My goodies (Individual) ran less than 30% extra but if I had done everything possible (including the R&D for a gold brown leather dash), it would have been 70% extra. That would have way too nuts for me. But the car would have been even more killer.

Look closely, there is no "M" logo embossed in the leather on my headrests. I was robbed!

#46 ·
Our 2006 M5 does not have the M logos embossed either.

Call me biased, but I prefer it without the M embossed. I think it looks cleaner and more subtle.

There already quite a bit of ///M's on the car already anyway.
