Published in the German Auto Motor und Sport Magazine of 6/1985, this is one of the first road-tests of the E28 M5 since its introduction on the Amsterdam autoshow in february 1985. I have the original magazine for some time and the scan itself dates back to 2001 as well.

Enjoy.

The ultimate in stealth! No rear spoiler....unfortunately, standard here in the UK.

Can anyone say when the BBS cross-spoke 7.5 x 16 were first fitted/became standard? Perhaps they were always an option on LHD European cars?

Possibly only the first GB car had TRX, though it wasn't until much later that the BBS wheels were recorded on GB build sheets.

Many thanks for posting the article.
