What was the date code on the filter? I've pulled 1999 and 2000 off of a couple of cars I've worked on within the past year or so. Fuel looked about like that too...

In that case, there's no date. maybe that means it has been changed, since the oringal would have a date. still though, it was filthy. car feels like it got some more power too.

It's been changed at some point, Hengst isn't OE. Can't remember who was offhand (nothing wrong with Hengst though, both of mine are using that filter...)

I have to admit, Hengst is doing a great job. All the black that poured out only came out the dirty end. the clean end towards the injectors were spotless.
