Got this installed a few weeks ago by RPI. Everything people say is true. Great shop with great people.

Arqray full stainless section 3. One of the more milder exhausts. Video is up. Here are some pics too.

Great sound for sure... where did you purchase it from, and what did it cost?

Also, don't know if you care, but blacking out your license plate on the still images doesn't do much good if you don't do it on the video too ;)

Thanks. It took me a while just to figure out how to make that video, so actually editing out something is beyond my capability :hihihi:

Oops. Forgot to answer this.

Got if from the US distributor for Arqray. Retail is around $3000. I set up a GB for it so it came out to a little over $2200. I also got them ceramic coated. I'm considering selling them if anyone is interested.

Quick question: Why does everyone make a big deal about blacking out your license plate when you drive all around town with it on anyway?

What can someone do with it anyway...

It's a security reason, if you know a plate, it's honestly not hard to get an address for the owner through your state DMV. (Yah, scary isn't it?). Then, you just gave a potential criminal your home address where your beast will be parked, for them to potentially steal or break into when you least expect it.

Altan: So are you saying you have additional sets of these exhausts for sale since it was a GB? Or that the distributor has some they're selling that were from a group buy? Either way, I'm interested, I love the sound. Also was there any weight savings? And do you have an under-the-car photo?

Not to threadjack...i know i'm doing this... :) Sorry

I figured that...but I guess my question is...I drive around with my plates being shown to everyone behind me. If I were in the business of jackin' M5's, I'd just hang out at my dealer or mall and take down every M5 license plate and I'd find way more leads than looking around the internet.

I certainly see the point you make, and the protection behind it. I thought there might be some other info people get out of a license plate.

Nah, it's more of a stalker thing... on the internet anyone can be anyone they want, because in theory you may never meet them. It's the whole "tough guy" behind the keyboard syndrome. If your plate is exposed to someone who gets pissed off at a post you make or something, it just opens an avenue for them to get that much closer to tracking you down.

Better to be overly paranoid/safe I suppose.

This GB was completed around sept of last year. The only people were me and keang24. They had one in stock and he got the first. These are hand made to order. That along with a bunch of shipping issues delayed the arrival of my unit until this past march.

If you are interested I'm willing to part with mine. There is some weight savings although not much. I'm not sure of the exact figures but I would say not more than 5-10 lbs per muffler, so 10-20 total max. Here's keang's thread with pics. Notice the quality of the welds. http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=102732&highlight=arqray

If you want a brand new one, I can ask the distributor or give you his contact.

Actually, I think it also has to do with the fact that some of the things shown on youtube are not exactly legal.

I still owe you til now.:imnotworthy::imnotworthy::imnotworthy:

Since it was only one in stock and generosity from ALTANertive, I got mine 2 days after GB while he has to wait at least 3mos for his. What a guy:cheers:
