I could have sworn I read this in the brochure years back there were two levels of steering assist but I cant seem to find this in I DRIVE.

Whats the deal here can someone fill me in?

Confirm there are modes and how can they be set?

I think if you are looking to steering settings similar to those in the E90 M3, there aren't different steering settings in the iDrive.

But I believe the steering weighting does increase as your speed increases. I was quite surprised how light the wheel is at parking lot speeds. I believe that's the servotronic system that increases assist at lower speeds and increases it at higher speeds.

at park speeds it feels like active steering but i really think i read and watched a video how they mention 2 levels, not sure if it was switchable,

didnt the E39 has two settings as well in the last year of production?

The steering effort increases when the EDC is set to normal or sport. That is the second level.
