Every year its the same thing... Promise after promise.

Guess he majored in marketing in college :)
Its part of his strategy to increase the hype. And it works.

You all got entertained nicely and should appreciate what Max is doing. It will be done much better soon (smile) but still, Gumball is COOL and Max has my full respect for what he has created.

Kim - I totally agree with you. I have MUCH respect for Max, but still, he should know better. I dont think the Gumball needs any more hype honestly. If it gets too much attention, the whole idea will be ruined. He should start realizing now that the Gumball Doesnt need anymore attention then it already has, its pretty **** known around the world already. What happens when TOO many people show up at check-points? The gumball could experience outrage from public, police and crowd control problems. Personally, I feel he has done enough and he should just be honest with everyone now, since he already has millions of fans for the event.

Kim, I swear, you better not do the same. The UR should retain the low-key attitude, known by the few and privlaged. Don't sell out. Honestly, if you keep that low key attitude, more respect and prestige will be established. Word of mouth will get the 'UR' attention.. you dont need magazines and newspapers.

I quote yourk, even if i think that people that goes seeing Gumballers is not because there is the one or the other VIp but to see the cars and the crazy people with the asses on them....
I've been in Florence checkpoint and i saw some vids of the London crowd, i know that having a big crowd is good for sponsors but here in Italy few few people knew about Gumball and the atmosphere in Florence seemed to be calm and full of relax.
If there would be 250.000 people like in London, i imagine the enormous probblems that could create for city and Gumballers....
Anyway the Gumball rocks and i hope UR will rock as Gumball do or even more.

In Acoz, there were just too many people (15000 police estimate), a lot of cars didn't leave the highway for acoz because of the crowd, the cars that showed up needed a police escort to get trough, or descided to go back. But the thing that irritated me, is that ALL the people i spoke with, didn't even know who kim schmitz, ant and pete, alex roy, maximillion cooper,... were. Almost all the spectators just watched a gumball special with spillie on tv and descided to go to acoz, even mothers with small children (small = about 4 years) watched until 1 o'clock!!! I think that Gumball should try to avoid big publicity like spillie has caused, it was very nice to see a lot of people in acoz, it's the proof that gumball is popular and a BIG event, but there were just too much people, ...

For Max Gumball 3000 is first of all a business venture and therefor he wants the brand to become as big as possible. It was never ment to be an underground event. Welcome to the real world :)

Another thing you might want to consider is that the celebs can only do stuff like this if they have no projects going on at the time. These folks are owned by their agents, handlers, and studios while they're involved in movies etc... and nobody is going to let their million dollar star go hurt themselves halfway through production.
In other words: It's not always Max's fault.

You said it mate, at Work! Those guys have contracts to risk hurting themselves elsewhere. If some celebrity under contract shows up, their lawyers would flip.

As far as Knoxville goes, that guy is OWNED by Warner Bros. right now because of the Dukes. If he so much as says, "yahooooo" in public someone has to pay for it. A few months ago I heard Gumball lost a couple major sponsors to cold feet and fear of bad press, so I think Warner Bros. must have been one of them.

Ever wonder why no current sports stars enter the Gumball? Same thing man, what if they get hurt and can't play? Franchise looses future revenue from someone they're paying way too much for anyway. A lot of American Pro atheletes aren't allowed to do anything remotely dangerous, no motorcycles, no skiing, no nothing if it risks injury. Gumball is off the scale for that type of celebrity.

Johnny Knoxville and his jackass crew like Steve-O or Ryan Dunn can give me fun in the movies, but not in a gumball. I need Lonman, Kimble, Ant&Pete and many more like them. :M5rev: :M5launch::wroom:

I thought the 'General Lee' was the Ferrari 550 LM with the orange pant job and #01 on the doors
That was my assumption as well... the 550 was painted like the General Lee.

Kim Schmitz...? Who's dat? :hihi:

I am sure Kim's alternate approach to the gumball was sorely missed. Alex had an easy run this with without the CL3000 gunning it.

I completely understand the comments above but that doesnt answer the question of the topic.

We all can accept that the stars and athletes are not able to enter the rally for various reasons but how can there be promises of stars and athletes by gumballhq when there is no truth to it ?
