Has anyone encountered an 500E and actually took one down? There are some talks regarding 500Es being faster than E55s over at Mercedes camp.

I killed two of them already on german motorways. It's easier than being faster than a CLK55AMG. Where I'm really without a chance is the bloody Porsche 993 Turbo which let me far behind most of the times.

Hi all,

It really depends as the DOHC V8 in 500E(or 400E or 400SE/SEL or 500SE/SEL for that matters)is very sensitive to outside temperature. They perform well(that is, killing E55s) under cool day, but on hot day, it will just get dusted even by a 993 C2...
