Replaced the steering wheel today but now the air bag light is on.

I left the battery disconnected for an hour before removing and fitting the replacement one.

I dont recall any of the plugs being disconnected when I fitted it, and I don't recall damaging the slip ring.

Any suggestions please?

Same thing happened to me when I was repairing the window tract on my driver's side. I ended up buying the chinese equivalent to a Peake FCX-SRS on ebay. (it was 50 bucks and I already have a FCX-III, don't judge me) It cleared the light and hasn't come back since.

Do you have a cable & INPA?

Try clearing the code and it should be ok

Make sure your INPA cable has pins 7 and 8 soldered together. If they aren't, you'll only be able to talk to the DME.

How many OBD ports do you have on the car? normally if you have 2 ports the in car port and the 20 pin you can only read the DME through the in car port, all other modules are connected to the 20 pin connector

I have the 20 pin adapter. Fault screen shot is attached. This returns as soon as I clear it.
