Just completed the brake cooling mod using the M-Technic parts and am very satisified with the result. I noticed while the front bumper was off that the two air intake tubes for the air filters route to the front of the car behind the bumper right in front of to capped off openings that would allow cooler air from the lower grill opening to be routed up (in front of the radiator) and out of these capped off openings to the inlet of the two air intake tubes.

Has anyone noted this, removed these caps, will it effect cooling???

Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Thats what the AA air intake does, more or less.

I didn't see the caps when I was doing mine, but I did conclude that the row of holes along the top of the stock bumper insert was the only visible source of air for the left side.

In honor of this conclusion, I drilled a row of holes across the top of both of the brake ducts, to provide a cold air path into the space behind and above the bumper where the intake tubes breath.

I don't know if it made a difference - it ran great before and after!

Cheers
