Ok guys.... I just wanna do a drop in filter into my 06 M5 because I really don't wanna mess with my car too much.. So, which is the best for performance wise.... Any thoughts and ideas greatly appreciated... THX.

If you dont want to mess with your car as you state, then remove the carbon filters, get the RPI scoops and BMC filters. Proven approach.

Drop in filter is your best bet for a direct replacement. Go with the aFe Pro 5R Oiled filter for better flow over stock. It won't be a noticeable difference but if it's time to replace the factory filters, then these are a good choice as they are lifetime and will pay for themselves over time.
