Read one test where they tested the different programs, and with Launch Control it took 4,7s 0-100 km/h, which was the fastest.

M5 board's personal test showed times as low as 4.25 0-100 with LC :15:

Does anyone know if the published M5 acceleration time is calculated using Launch Control?
speed m5 cls55
0-100 4,7 4,7
0-120 6,3 6,2
0-140 7,9 8,0
0-160 10,0 10,3
0-180 12,2 12,8
0-200 14,8 15,5

If I remember in this comparison by Auto Motor und Sport LC was used, and this is also the closest comparison between e 55 amg and m5, because I dont think there is a lot of difference in the acceleration in the 2 amg's!

These are the official numbers??? All the custom tests i've seen so far have been 0-200 in 14.5 or less...

Those are their official numbers. I don't know that they are at such a level of authoritativeness that their numbers should be considered the official times. Just my take.

One thought about a possible source for the extremely good performance figures attained by Gustav et al relative to those achieved by the various reviews last year is improvements in SMG LC reprogramming. It occurred to me that the 4.5-4.7 sec 0-100 times showed the M5 to somewhat underachieve its capability, and that exploiting its power, especially at lower speeds, is largely a function of how well it is launched. Getting the LC programming right is obviously a huge component, and BMW may have nailed this relatively recently. I recall them releasing a new program for the SMG II in the M3 recently, so it is obviously something easily changed.
