Hey Chungpg,

How's the hunt for the replacement going? Have you decided between the 530 and another M5?

Hi Kevin,

99% sure it's a 2003 530i, 5-speed. Have not yet started looking for the car. Still have 4 cars at home, so no urgency. Likely will pull the trigger late 05 or 06.

I'm truely worried about the electronics in the M5. I may use the 530i to tide me over until Porsches debuts their sedan.

Click on the next button from pongs @ wreckedexotics and you'll see a 2005M5 ...no where near as bad, but still a bummer.

It's so sad to see perfection violated so furiously and irreparably. Glad he's alright.
I went to look at the car in the insurance-salvage yard. It was still perfect, in a way.

Most of the engine was under the floorpan and there wasn't much left of the car in front of the firewall, but every one of the doors opened and closed as easily as if the car had just rolled off the line in Dingolfing.

I have to admit I was impressed.
