Hey Guys,

The Alliance Gas Station at 16103 Sherman Way-Van Nuys, CA has 95 octane gas for $3.99 a gallon.

Just filled up the tank, My M5 is smiling.

Nice. Living in CA is generally good, but living with 91 octane is frustrating. I wonder why they have that good petrol available. And at $3.99 it is only 70 cents more per gallon than the 91.

The Unocal on Barrington and Pico in west los angeles has race fuel (101 octane i think). It's pricey, but the M5 loves it. I usually only get it on special occassions.

At $6.99 a gallon at that station it's a pricey treat indeed.

If you're in the Newport Beach area, Graham's 76 (off Bonita Canyon near Fashion Island) carries the 100 octane race fuel for $5.49/gal. The price seems to stay the same, even when other grades run-up.

Will the car be able to benefit from the higher octane w/out an ECU upgrade?? Love to try it if it does...
