Already replaced the electric motor on M5s SMG when it had ~ 60K miles. Now at about 90K miles later, I now pulled the following codes after getting the red COG for the transmission: 4FA0, 510E, 4F80, 4F82, 4F83, 4F85, 510D. After searching the board I am leaning towards replacing the clutch.

Quick question, do you need to drop the transmission to replace the slave cylinder?

Does anyone know if you can check the slave cylinder functionality using DIS? I pretty much have the same codes and I am dreading having to drop the transmission.

the trans needs to be dropped to replace the slave. Also, you might need to "prime" the pump after installing the slave. Mine needed primed and the dealership didn't know that....I learned it the hard way.

I have a problem with that
I changed the clutch
But I hear voices during the spare parts
Delay in the spare and possible and the car walk the spare turns to n
can you help

Did switching out the slave solve this problem?


Did for me, new slave cylinder, no fault.

I am :). I also got that code recently lucky for me I did a bleeding procedure on the smg and the code never came back. I also had a shudder in 2nd gear which happened to be the throw out bearing. I replaced the clutch with bearing and all is good. :)
How u process the bleeding procedure??
