And there was only a .5 mph difference in the slalom and the M5 stopped sooner from 80.
Pretty amazing considering the M5 is easily a 1000lbs heavier.
Now, I am not comparing the 2 cars, they are very different and for different purposes, but all I am saying is the M5 is no slouch, especially at less than half the price.
I would be pretty confidant that a M5 would surpass a 355 in all these categories. Cool.
But again Ferrari fanatics, do not get your panties in a wad, I am not saying either car is better. I am just comparing some specific measurements. And yes, I know these vary from tester to tester. Usually though, each tester is semi-consistent.
Jeff, I'm an adamant M5 freak, but the numbers posted for the M5 are...optimistic. I'd be hardpressed to find any M5 (save Nowack), capable of playing with a 355, leave alone the 360.
There's always a conspiracy, you just have to know about it!
Hey, im not complaining. If the M5 really does perform that well, excellent. But that also won't get me to cancel my 360 order either.
Interesting enough. The 996TT may have eaten everything for lunch, but stylistically, their designeres were out to lunch. What impresses me about Porsche is that the 959 kicks the **** out of every other car they've made, and yet they haven't used the technologies involved to produce other cars (or incorporate them into the 911), with similar capabilities.
