It's been reported that a city called Kurihara (..?) has been totalled, 77,000 people over 310 square miles.

Kinda puts things into perspective....

It goes without saying of course that my thoughts are with those affected.

No huge waves on west coast, (I'm currently in huntington beach), but all beaches are closed and current is very strong and unusual.
