Was cruising home the other day and decided to try D mode for the
first time in ages. D5 - DCS off - P500s...and WOT! Car downshifts
to the optimal gear and hits redline...doink...doink! The inevitable
happens and it bounces off the limiter. I figured it would but wanted
to try it with the Evosport software. This got me wondering...what
ever happened to software that was supposed to fix this? Dinan still
says on their website that it's coming soon. I know Evosport never
promised anything but will they tackle this issue? Maybe there isn't
enough clamoring to warrant the dev time? Maybe it's proven too
difficult to figure out? Just curious.

So if I install the Dinan diff.....it won't shift properly in D? And I have no plans to use Dinan software as my car already has Singh software.......

So it will bounce off the revlimiter and still not shift? So the only way to do full throttle shifts will be manually?

Here's another question...I am set up to purchase one from a private party...rebuilt through warranty from Dinan....so fresh and uninstalled...would you buy one WITHOUT a warranty? The seller told me it was still covered by warranty but Dinan is stating that the warranty is only for the original purchaser...Iam a little worried to say the least that I might get this thing installed and have either excessive whine or some other issue that I will then be on the hook for......

i would'nt worry about it too much !! as far as i know im the only one who blew one up , although the warr is a good thing to have the worst that could happen is you end up with a whine , and as long as you listen to the radio is not that bad !!

It isn't terrible... It says that all you have to do when you're in D mode is just lift lightly on the throttle and that allows the car to shift up. I don't know why they have not released software to fix the issue like they said they were going to, however...
