I have not driven one, but there are many reports that the GT-R is a much noisy and harsher car to ride in. So if your eardrums and kidneys have a vote, make sure you get some seat time in a GT-R before committing to one.

I think they are ugly, but they sure seem to be quick.

I like both kits, however -- and when my warranty runs out, I will be having a difficult time choosing.
Or by then you might slide into an F12/F13 M6 - stranger things have been know to happen :1:

Well we know basically what the next M6 will look like since the F12 coupe and F13 non-M cars are available now.

While the redline appears to be 7200 on the new F10 M5, the published torque curve shows that you might as well shift at 5700 and that's when the otherwise flat torque "curve" drops off sharply. Not an exciting prospect for those of use who love the rush to 8250 with our S-85 beasts. :grrrr:

I'm sure Telsa owners will appreciate the new M5 motor. Just not sure about the rest of us. Easier to drive, more torque but will it be less fun overall?

Yep., GTR Hands down., no question asked.!

the funny thing part ., I was on my way to a Lambo dealer for a used Gallardo for around 120k.,

passed by nissan in my Maserati, they have a 2012 Red seating in the dealership asking 20k over msrp, make it 110k plus tax.. went in,walked around the car.... the sales manager came out I told him I am heading to Lambogini for a Gallardo.,.,,. ...... long story short.,.., 2 hours later, I drove away the GTR with MSRP.......... plus tax. and I got to keep the Maserati

that was exactly 3 weeks ago that happened..
Great story. Thanks.

(I still think the GT-R looks like rice - factory rice - but still rice. But then looks are a very personal thing. Glad you are happy with it.)
