A few comments:
- I searched for almost a year in 2015 to find this E60 M5 this clean. The previous BMW CCA member owner was a bit OCD and had it regularly detailed by a good detailer.
- It's always been a California car. Its been garaged night and day all of its life which has really preserved the plastics and interior so it does not look like a 14 year old car. It has, of course, never seen snow, rarely seen rain and been sheltered from the Southern California sun.
- The interior is extremely nice with no creases or abrasions on the seats. The previous owner was fanatical and hardly ever had passengers. Limited sun exposure has helped preserve the leather dash and panels that otherwise warp on these cars.
- It's never been tracked (sadly).
- Coming form a reformed concourse detailing nut, the paint is very nice but not perfect. The front bumper was repainted by the dealer early in its life and not clear bra-ed like the hood so it has chips that have been touched up. The bumper has slight indents from road debris that you can see in some of the photos. The rear bumper was also repainted by the dealer. I consider it a very nice driver, but I often get comments from others that its super clean. It could be made into a concours winner with a little work.
- There are a few door dings from the previous owner parking in his work garage. I always intended to have them taken out and have not had time.
- The driver side thigh bolster adjustment motor gear broke so it only moves manually. The motor still works. I have not gotten around to fixing it.
- I did an oil analysis when I bought it in 2015 at 48k miles and it showed no significant issues. I have not done bearings yet. I always make sure its very well warmed up before high RPMs.
- It's had about ~$6K of service in the last 5k miles including Coils, spark plugs, alternator, battery, oil cooler, fluids etc.
