I am still in the break in period of my car with less than 400 miles currently on it. I noticed that the car tends to heat up faster and in some cases the temp guage rises past the half way point under normal driving. Is this usual for the break in period because of the different fluids used? The temp guage always stayed towards the middle or below the middle under nomal driving conditions when I had my 06 M5. Are there any other M5 owners experiencing this? Thanks!

I have a 2008 w/ 1200 miles. Temp needle goes a bit past 210 regularly in around-town driving. maybe THAT's why I'm averaging 8mpg!

It is running where it was built to run.....this might sound vague, but without a true temp reading and just an idiot gage the temp is just a guess........
