Please don't contact me and compare prices of other m5s. You are basically getting a brand new V10 M5.
All m5 and m6 cars with the s85 v10 engine will need a new motor at some point because they will end up spinning a rod bearing because the crank shaft is too soft from the factory or they will have vanos issues. I have all paperwork to provide as far as the work done. you are buying a worry free car.
If you want a cheaper m5, go buy another one, drive it and then end up needing a new engine or thousands of dollars of work done. Everything on this car is new as far as the engine and transmission.
Feel free to contact me wil any questions. No lowballing... I'm not desperate for money.

Nice car. GLWS.

I'm interested in your hypothesis that it is a soft crankshaft that leads to rod bearing wear. Could you maybe start a thread and elaborate on this. Thanks for that insight. Cheers.
if you contact troy he can explain in detail! there is a reason he does so many m5 and m6 with the s85 engines. if you ask him why he will give you a detailed explanation!

You are looking at straight up cash buyer since most banks, if not any banks won't finance $40k for 08 M5. Why do all the work and sell it?
I don't think a lot of people with highly modified M5's realize this. I was talking to a guy with a 2006 M5 and they had just put a new engine in it and they wanted $30k for it. The car had 110k miles on the clock and I told them you're going to have a very difficult time selling this car because any bank will ask for the milage on the car, not the new engine, and price the car off of that. My bank did exactly that, came back with $22k at the time.

I think you should keep it too OP. I think the color is awful (my opinion, matte color on a car is just awful) but to each their own.
