the ignition/timing system is definitely a painful part of ownership, but at the same time there is enough experience out there now that the primary culprits are easily identified through some basic troubleshooting. If you go into it expecting to replace 10 coils, two ion control units and throttle actuators - that alleviates a good deal of stress related to fault codes. The "ding" that chimes whenever the outside temp drops to 37*F will always cause your heart to skip a beat though.
