As much as I hate to do it, it is time to sell my dream car. I wanted an E39 M5 since the first time a drove one, but I am building a shop at my house and I am so far over budget I can't see straight.

I bought it from the 3rd owner in May 2016 at 100k. It was garage kept until about 8 months ago. It was going to be stored in the shop, but I can't seem to catch a break building it.

It currently has about 124k miles. Mileage will continue to go up, although not much.

Extended leather, M Audio, folding seats. I cant remember what wood trim I have, but i installed technical graphite a few months ago. I will include the original trim.

19x9.5 square VMR 718 wheels on Nitto NT555 tires. Spec twin disk clutch, X5 thrust arm bushings, new ac compressor/dryer, fan blade, belts and pulleys, all 4 moisture barriers, and stainless brake lines all done in the last 6 months. RK Autowerks aluminum radiator, thermostat, new oe fan clutch, fuel pump, filter, regulator and siphon pump replaced at 115k. AFE intake and Hayward and Scott rear section exhaust. E60 shifter done at 100k. I will include the original intake. I have a new Behr aux fan for it. I never installed it because it was the ac compressor making noise.

Original paint so there are blemishes, dents, and dings, but nothing bad. I bought this car to drive it, and that's what I did. I think you will be hard pressed to find an interior in as good of shape as this one at this price/mileage.

Asking $18,500 OBO. I might entertain a partial trade for a 540 or other Bimmers. Maybe even a truck. More pics on request, but it might take a day or two because I parked it at my brother's house to avoid the construction.

Located a few miles south of Memphis, TN.

Bump. Last chance before it goes to the paint shop to have the flaws fixed. When it comes back the price will go up.

Well my friend wont be able to do the paint work after all. And I've got some big expenses coming up soon.

Make me a reasonable offer.

Greetings. I’ve an ‘03 540ia. Mtech, 105k miles, Black on Black. Complete suspension done, down to wheel bearings. Timing guides & chain, valley pan, oil pump, complete cooling system, all engine gaskets replaced. Currently replacing interior with an M5 interior like the one in your car, and new OEM front bumper. Intentions where to keep it, but just recently I found what I really wanted. ‘03 540it Mtech. So this opened the door to move the 540ia. If interested Text me at7187916785.
Thanks, Felix.

The maintenance I have done is listed in the first post. Oil services every 5k. I got a file folder with maintenance records when I bought it. Let me dig it out and I'll get back to you.

Lowered to $17500 OBO. The shop is on hold until I can sell the M5. No lowball offers please.

Here are a lot more detailed pictures. I took a close up of all the blemishes. Keep in mind they look worse in pictures than they do in person.

I looked all over for the previous owners records. Unfortunately they must have been lost during the move last year.

I do not have the factory wheels anymore. They were in really bad shape and were not worth fixing or keeping.
