For sale is my 2003 M5 with 66,XXX miles, located in Flagstaff, AZ, with an asking price of $45,000, or best reasonable offer. This is my second E39 M5, and I have owned it since October 2015. I am only selling the vehicle because I’ve decided to step into a base G80 M3 (yeah, I know I might be back in the E39 M5 ownership at some point). I purchased it from the 5th owner, per Carfax, with 39,XXX miles on it, and have taken excellent care of the vehicle while in my possession. I have records for the vehicle dating back to 2014 (note that I started doing my own work in 2018, so from then on, it is parts receipts only). This vehicle is in excellent condition, and has had many of the typical E39 maladies addressed, including cluster pixels, rear view mirror, navigation pixels, rear quarter window shades, seat adjustment cables, and headlight adjusters. The only modifications to the vehicle are tint, TimmayTaps (muffler delete), E60 short shift kit with a ZHP shift knob and M-Striped Alcantara boot, and a recovered steering wheel from Coby Wheel. The vehicle has fresh floor mats, an M5 trunk mat, and comes with a compact spare / jack, sunshade, and old floor mats, if desired. A full set of photos, Carfax, vehicle inspection documentation, and maintenance/repair log can be found in the following link: CF90218_FS - Google Drive

Mechanical Condition:
I commissioned Arrowhead BMW to do a used vehicle inspection 10/23/21, the results of which can be found in the shared drive, or viewed on the linked video from the dealership: 3CF92018. The results of this inspection indicate the need to replace front tension strut bushings, rear upper wishbones, cabin air filters, and tires (with an alignment). I have ordered the suspension parts and cabin air filters, and will replace those and have the vehicle aligned. I am not going to replace the tires because they do still have some life in them, and honestly, from an enthusiast perspective, tires are a personal choice, and the next owner should be able to choose their preferred brand of tires. I have priced the vehicle accordingly. A repair log can be found in the google drive link. All options and features work on the vehicle, it drives as it should (no shimmys or vibrations), has no odors, and is not leaking any fluids.

Cosmetic Condition:
Exterior: The paint is in excellent condition, as can be seen in the photos (I am happy to snap additional photos, just ask), with slight spiderwebbing observable in direct sunlight. There are several small imperfections which I have tried to highlight with my finger (very light ding on the decklid, and a couple of touch-up spots). The front end of the vehicle has slight abrasions from road usage. There is no rust on this vehicle, and all the underbody panels are in-tact and attached. The rims are original shadow chrome finish with one minimal spot of rash on the RR wheel, and slight degradation of the shadow chrome finish can be seen on all four wheels. The vehicle has not been in accident while in my possession, and the Carfax indicates no documented collisions prior to my ownership.

Interior: As can be seen in the photos, the interior is also in excellent condition. As the vehicle has aged, some of the black trim pieces have become rubbery to the touch, and I have replaced them as needed. The leather is in excellent condition, with minor wear on the driver’s seat bolster. I apply 303 to all leather, vinyl, and rubber surfaces annually. Interior trim is in excellent condition with no peeling, and exhibits a few light scuff marks on the center console.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions, or require additional information. As noted above, the asking price is $45,000, or best reasonable offer. There is no lien on the vehicle; the title is clean and clear in my names. I am happy to assist with shipping, or showing the car within a reasonable distance of Flagstaff. Thanks for reading, and have a great day!

Beautiful, really nicely cared for M5! GLWS!

Off topic, but is that a crimson red E91 in the garage?

That video PPI is great idea and should give buyers peace of mind. Nice you're including jack and donut spare as well. Those tire pressure numbers sound very high, I run 37 all around. If this doesn't move I'm sure you know the E39 M5 is hot on the auction sites. GL.

I got the idea for it when my X3 was in for a recall last year, and the give me the rundown of everything they thought it needed. It was well worth the money, as I've already taken a deposit on the car.
