Hello. Until recently I had a -06 M6 as a nice weather drive and an 08 X3 as a daily driver. Due to economy I had to sell the M. Now I'm thinking of trading my X3 for a M5, but I'm wondering what would be best. A 2002/03 E39 160kkm or a 2005 M5 95kkm? I'm going to use it as a all year driver in Norway.

Thanks in advance!
J

My 2 cents...
The 05 M5 will be pretty much the same as your M6 was.
The 02/3 while ~100 HP less but it has less "training wheels" (traction control, stability control etc) - which may be a factor in Norway's winter. The 02/3 will most likely be cheaper to maintain......but it is not a V10.
If you miss the M6 performance, V10, sound - the 05 may be the better bet.
