I'm selling my 2001 BMW M5 due to a recent home purchase and don't want to be burdened with mortgage, HOA, car payment, insurance, parking, and maintenance. With regret, I need to sell off all unnecessary expenses and live frugally. That means my M5 is up for sale. $17k obo

This car is well-maintained and drives like a dream. I'll be fixing the issues over the next month or so. I'll also throw in a whole 8 or 9 quarts of Castrol Syntec 10w60 engine oil and a ZHP 6-speed shift knob.

thanks

I don't have enough posts to respond to PMs, so here is the answer to one of them:

Title is clean, no accidents. Unfortunately, I don't have any maintenance records as I bought it from a dealership who bought it from an auction. I've done some work to it myself and have records of those, but they're all listed in the ad. From what I remember, Exhaust CPS, TPS, and fuel pump. I've cleaned the MAF bodies a few times too (rubbing alcohol on the sensor and simple green on the tube).

The clutch was replaced prior to me buying the car in April of this year. I only put on like 10k miles on it, and the clutch felt very good. No slippage, and others who've driven the car have said the same thing. I don't know if the dash was fixed for dead pixels, but there were no dead pixels when I bought it and no dead pixels now.

Do you know what mileage the last overhaul was done on the brakes (rotors, pads, fluid, etc)? Are there any transmission problems (2nd or 3rd gear shifting)? Does this have the rear fold-down seats option? M-audio? Thanks.

Sorry, I don't know when the brakes were last overhauled. No transmission problems of any kind. The rear seats fold down, but no M Audio.

thanks. It's really a nice, clean example of an M5, but I'm unfortunately getting low-balled left and right on the car. The only reason I'm selling is that I'm moving to a studio condo in SF and there's no parking. I refuse to park it on the street. I'm also applying for a job that's 3 blocks away, so it'll just sit there not doing much if I keep it. I'd rather it go to someone who can really appreciate the car instead of me keeping it and driving it once a month or so.

Very nice M5. Is the V1 included? Don't want to low ball, but is the price flexible at all?
