After a great year of ownership, I am looking to sell my 2000 M5. This car has been great, one of my favorites so far that I have owned. Never thought I would sell but I want to get started on a project swap involving an s85 and could use the extra funds.

To the details...This is a 3 owner car. Well maintained and I have general records from the previous owner starting in 2010 at 25,000 miles. The last owner had the car until I purchased it at 90,000 miles. He had it all over the place starting in MD and ended up in SC where I purchased it. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. I drive it everyday so mileage will go up slightly. Theres a few small dings on the driver door and the usual rock chips on the hood. The paint is in great condition other than those minor imperfections.

The car is completely stock other than a muffler delete and retrofitted headlights from a 2001 e39 (Lexus LS460 Projectors, 55w ballasts, 5k bulbs). At this time I also installed new lenses with the clear corners.

The back seat on the driver side needs repaired (see pics). The remainder of the rear bench seat is in great condition.

I was involved in an accident in January 2015, all work was done by BMW of Rockville and ALL parts were replaced with OEM parts. Nothing was "pulled, bondo, etc". They offer a lifetime warranty on their work as well. Other than the quarter panel, the rear bumper was replaced and at the time I had them replace the front bumper as well. I am very pleased with their work.

Was the VANOS ever rebuilt? And I'm assuming you did the guides when the tensioner was replaced? Beautiful Car!!
No records of any vanos work and I Havnt done them. I've had zero signs that they need done. If I were to keep the m5 I was going to do the solenoid o rings only, just to be sure they are not clogged with the mesh screen.

I apologize should have been more clear the tensioner was the lower "external" one. So no to the guides. To my knowledge the motor has never been opened up further than a valve cover gaslet job. But same as vanos, I have no signs of issues.

Thanks!
