I can finally say i don't have a stock M5! But more then that the car felt so much better after the mods hiha. I was in shock hahaha i had the carbon filters removed, air scoops, bmc filters, and also straight piped my resonator. The diff is really night and day and the car really woke up haha. And my gas mileage was sick, ecu is prob suprised at how much better its breathing :eek7:.

Do you guys have any suggestions for my next modd? hahaha thanks!! :M5launch:

I have heard from Eloy that straight piping the resonators results in a loss of power. I have straight pipes in place of as well it but can't notice any difference...however I plan to put in an x-pipe or the x-h hybrid thingy RPI is working on:biggrin:

I think a diff would be a good mod for a moderately modded M5 and i happen to have one for sale. :)

Yeah the tech told me that as well, a loss of 20-30 hp i believe (a lil farfetched). I was kind of in disbelief and i just thought he was trying to convince me to buy their exhaust components. hahaha I drove the car around with that delete and honestly i was like wow... 50 dollars went a long way hahahaha, it pleased my butt dyno. As long as the drivers happy right!! hahahaha

-But another update on the performance, the ride is near perfect now and the ladies love it even more :] hahaha. Props to RPi on the air scoops, GREAT mod.

Can you try to describe the difference in sound for us? I'm planning on a resonator delete (prob ordering RPi's Section 2) and curious to hear your thoughts on the exhaust note particularly.

Kelleners told me the same thing. I'm running Evosport headers, 100 cell cats in place of the secondaries with a Dinan exhaust and have what I feel is a good combo--albeit a bit loud. My resonator is stock.

The exhaust note becomes a tad bit deeper and more full. Even at idle i could tell the diff :) i was pretty pleased.

I was in a pretty good mood tonight so i went out for a run and i actually raced a modded dodge charger srt8, and a regular Corvette AT THE SAME TIME (I was trippin lol)! The charger was my main competition while the Corvette was a lil light in my mirror. The Charger was forsure fast but i wasn't really impressed haha. I pulled so many car lengths on him, arent those fast cop cars dodge chargers man o man :flag:

All i have to say is i know i didn't loose 30 hp by cutting out my resonators! I actually think getting an intake and cutting out my resonator helped! Not only is my butt dyno telling me but when i ran srt8 like that, i really don't think i lost HP at all but rather gained a couple. Good times :M5launch:

Could you kindly advise us why you're thinking of selling your 3.91 diff? From what I understood you were quite happy with it. Thanks.

I have the sme problem as M5Ranger. The car makes to much torque with NOS and just spins the tires in the first 2-3 gears. Otherwise i would not let it go for anything.

The fast cop cars are just RT's not srt8's... I say go with the RPI software next... 15whp guaranteed gain with it! Itll make the world of a difference for little over a grand! and maybe the rpi pully and section 3...

yup... you can tell by the styling and the srt8 has the hoodscoop and the cop cars dont... plust the stance isnt as low or as aggressive looking...

DOUL, as mishkinm5 stated but additionally there was another issue.
As I have explained before, after long review of time slips it was felt the 3.91 was hurting the times and trap speed.

Thanks Mike. So from what I've understood is that if you didn't get the NOS kit you would have kept it, right? This is one mod. I'm interested in but never got a real solid answer from the members who have actually tried it. A lot were actually happy and felt that it was a must have mod, however others have stated the opposite as they were always changing their diffs and some with whining issues. If I ought to get one (may be next year) I was thinking of getting the Evos version as I haven't yet heard any complaints.
