Hi,
I'm looking to purchase a 1987 535i with 200,000 miles on it. The car currently does not start. I was informed by the current owner that it is because of the crank angle sensor, which needs replacing. I have not seen the car yet but I wanted to ask if this is a common issue for this car? Or, is this pretty rare and could potentially mean something more serious is wrong with the car. I know that I need to look at the car in terms of what the issues are, however, if I know that this is somewhat of a common issue then it would put my mind a little at ease.
Thanks in advance.
