    ok. 2002 M5 with mk3 setup. Suddenly, my screen display has either been freezing on its current view, or it goes to a gray screen. It might do that for a few minutes or days, then suddenly it works again. Now when that happens, all the knobs typically work. What never works when that...

    This is really bothersome!! Took the 2001 M5 in for a battery replacement. Somewhere along the way the Nav system got fried. Dealer wants $2,800 to replace same. Trying to find a used unit (65-90-6-915-036). Is the replacement simply "plug-and-play" or is there some reprogramming needed...
